7/4/2015 - Wonderful weather at Volcano for the Fourth of July at the Annual Volcano Day Parade. Each year we carry a banner, and if you would like to walk with us, meet up at the Volcano Village Post Office at 8:45am. Parade starts at 9am, rain or shine. Visit our booth at the Cooper Center that day. Aloha & Mahalo.

Our Spring fund-raising yard sale is so large it will be held over two weekends. Sat, March 21 & Sun. March 22 and again the following weekend, March 28 & 29. Hours are 8 am to 2 pm. There will be a boutique section of new and gently used clothing and handbags along with fun animal toys and accessories. On the afternoon of December 2, 2014, we had a tragic incident when a pack of loose dogs came onto the PAWS property and killed over 15 felines.  Another 10 are still missing. Some cats escaped into the surrounding forest and have returned, but the older ones and others, were easy victims. Some felines were in the community hall shelter where the caretaker is usually on-site and they were taken by surprise and easily trapped by the pack of large dogs. The remaining cats and the volunteers have been traumatized to say the least. The humans have decided that we have to reach out past our local group to ask for the funds to add to the safety of the cats as quickly as possible.  We found that when we make people aware of our situation they want to help. Hopefully, that will include you.

A Big Mahalo to the Fair Volunteers:

April 21st, Educational Spay/Neuter Clinic with Dr. Kim Kozuma, Students from area High Schools interested in a Animal Health career, attended the Cat Clinic and were able to observe surgery and ask the veterinarian.
