Aloha, welcome to Hui Pono
Holoholona (HPH). This website is a work in
progress so please, browse, enjoy, and keep checking back often as we will be

- HPH is a volunteer-staffed 501(c)(3) non-profit
organization dedicated to making available no-cost or truly
affordable spay and neuter services for dogs and cats on the
island of Hawai'i.

- Our goal is
to
humanely decrease animal overpopulation, which will
in turn decrease animal
abandonment and unnecessary euthanasia of healthy animals at the shelters.

- A fertile female
dog can produce two litters per year of approximately 6-10 puppies per litter.
In six years, one female dog and her offspring can be the source of 67,000
puppies.

- One fertile
female cat can produce three litters per year of approximately 4-6 kittens per
litter. In just seven years, one female cat and her young can produce
420,000 kittens.

Decreases animal abuse,
Decreases animal abandonment,
Decreases unnecessary euthanasia of healthy animals in shelters,
Decreases domestic
abuse that
often accompanies animal abuse.
