Kea'au Transfer Station Crisis
Code yellow? We thought we won, it was over. Well, we did win and it is "over," but we can never let down our guard. The powers that be can change their minds at a moment's notice, on a whim, with false or distorted evidence. We've seen it in the past, we saw it with this situation, and, unfortunately, we will probably see it again somewhere down the line. So, walk softly and keep your eyes and ears open. Don't do one single thing to provoke an incident. Follow the rules, go through the appropriate channels, and remember, the animals come first and our egos come last. So, that being said, CONGRATULATIONS y'all, we done good and all of the Big Island will be the better for it. Special thanks to Terrie Henderson of the Hawai'i Tribune-Herald for her fair, unbiased, accurate and prompt reporting, which tipped the scales in our favor. Mahalo Terrie!
