Thank you for supporting Hui Pono Holoholona October 16th, as National Feral Cat Day.

Recognition of Feral Cat Day, helps instill a positive effect in our community by bringing awarensee that animal sterilization is the only and most humane solution in preventing animal overpopulation. Including, awareness of the effectiveness and humane programs of Trap-Neuter-Return-*Manage of cat colonies.

We at HPH find there are no boundaries of age or race in wanting better treatment for animals. People contact our organization every day for assistance in getting their pets or cat colony spay/neutered. Including neighbors coming together in support of each others efforts in getting the stray cats in their neighborhood under a TNRM program, as they prefer a non-kill solution.

HPH's all volunteer organization has helped spay & neuter over 1000 animals, rescued hundreds of abandoned animals, sponsored various low cost spay/neuter clinics, and continued commitment in turning our community from a round up to kill mentality - which has never been the long term solution and taxpayers money drain, to a kinder, gentler, and more educated community of pet responsiblity, animal sterilization, and acceptance of cat colony TNRM programs.

Our Success is a community success, and hope you will continue to support October 16th, as Hui Pono Holoholona Feral Cat Day; as Mahatma Gandhi said " The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by how its animals are treated".
